Some not so recent news. I did some work last summer with DC Comics and Overbrook Entertainment for the movie I Am Legend. I was commissioned to do two short comics that would be featured in a special promo comic along with some other great artists. You can view that comic in on the web now, here.
The two stories I did were also turned into some pretty cool animatics by Sequence. They are now special features on the DVD release of I Am Legend.

Your lighting techniques in these are delicious. Very impressive! Familiar themes in there, but never old. Congrats. I enjoyed this movie so its nice to see your hand in things.

Those animatics are beautiful and heartbreaking. I've never seen the movie, so I don't really understand the context, but I got the basic storyline through the videos. Breathtaking imagery.
I never thought that I would have interviewed the person who did one the of the animated sequences of I Am Legend...I thought I recognized your style somewhere before I even heard of ConceptArt.com.

I really liked the second animation, the one that takes place in Hong Kong. The setting of "I am Legend" is very good for this kind of small stories.
Is there any more "animated Chan" i can put my hands on? :P
