Last Man Standing: Round 2
The 2nd round of the Thunderdome: Last Man Standing contest on ConceptArt.org has been posted. Here is my entry for the second round. This round's theme was "Outbreak." I knew everyone would probably draw zombies, so I thought I'd give it a little bit of a twist. I'm actually pretty happy with how this came out given how little time I had to work on it.
For those of you who have not been following the tournament, here's my first round entry. The theme for this one was "Underneath it all."

There were allot of great entries in the LMS round, but yours stood out for me.
I just love the storytelling of the piece, first you have to laugh to see a bunch of kids battling zombies, next thing you feel sad because you know they're gonna have their brains eaten.
I'll never grow tired of that kind of stuff =] Please keep doing it haha.
... on a sidenote, could you beg for Nox to update his blog? I'dd love to see what kind of crazy stuff he's been up to.

I've been trying to find whoever did this piece of art. I've been working on a short story for a zombie anthology and kept hitting a brick wall until I saw this picture. The opening scene is based on it. A "zombie drill" at a school, done with real (but de-toothed) zombies. There's also the awkward first date between the boy with the bat and the girl with the slingshot. Then a real outbreak happens. Seems the zombies weren't too well de-toothed.

Underneath it all, is just fantastic. The subtle twist of tentacles and drowning depiction is a caption still near the surface while the visual beauty is strikingly realistic before the deep bottom has taken everything in front of the observer. To me this is art and your work just brilliant.

I am disgusted. Your "Outbreak" theme art is unfortunately not yours at all. I know this because the true artist is a good friend of mine, and i watched this being drawn. I hate to use this word, but you are a fraud. How can you steal art and pass it off as your own.
